I don't believe I mentioned this
At least not here...
Grant and I are off to Switzerland in July. We are joining the city's concert band members to go to the Jungfrau Music Festival. It's kind of a business thing, so just my airfare and expenses are coming out of our own pockets. Nice work if you can get it!
Quite honestly, Switzerland has never been high on my "must-see" list of places, but since we decided to go, I am getting quite excited about it. We are staying in Interlaken, which is apparently the gateway to the Jungfrau. Anyway, we know the basic stuff we "must" do; the highest rail station in the world, the ice caverns and terrace overlooking the Alps, the yodeling...
Well, maybe not the yodeling. If anyone has any suggestions for things we should not miss in that area, or in the Munich area, since we are flying out of there and may spend a day there before, I would be most appreciative. Or as they say (with whatever accent the Swiss actually have) Danke schoen!

Darling, I just popped in to say that I'm eating that 5 yr old Gouda that you loved so much so naturally I thought of you. Come back to CA this very minute ..ok, sometime then.
That pic of you is adorable!
Oh my, that cheese was just [drool].
And spending time with you in CA was even better! But since it is unlikely I will get back there again this year, I have the perfect solution! Come up here to Canada and come lounge with me on our boat. We will get sunburnt and watch Deadwood on DVD!
You know, I wasn't very excited about Switzerland until I went there--it was gorgeous. I know I went on some hike near Interlaken that was quite beautiful, but it was long enough ago that I forget where exactly I went.
The only thing I remember about Munich was going to Oktoberfest, getting blasted out of my mind, and reeling down the street to catch an overnight train to Vienna.
In sum, look at the mountains in Switzerland, drink the beer in Germany! *thumb's up*

Oh my god! THE HILLS ARE ALIVE! I am overcome with jealousy.
Hee. I know!
I am not sure Grant realizes what he is in for once I see those verdant green hills.
